How do I post a free ad?
First you will need to create an account. Second, click the "Create an Ad" button at the top of the header bar on every page. You will then be able to choose a category in the next step.back to top
How much does a listing cost?
All Listings are 100% free. However, paid upgrades are available for all listings. These upgrades allow users to gain more exposure for their listings than normal and help sell their items faster. All normal listings are 100% free and will continue to be free on upillar.com. Even job listings are free!back to top

Can I apply upgrades from one listing to another listing?
No. Once you apply an upgrade to a listing, you cannot use that upgrade for a different listing. You are not able to change the title or category applied to the listing unless you contact support. Why do we not allow you to edit upgraded listings' categories? To prevent users from using that same upgraded listing over and over again for new items they are selling without paying for the upgrades.back to top
Can I edit upgraded listings?
Yes, you can edit Featured Listings at any time, and as many times as you would like. Featured listings are only valid for 90 days.back to top
Does it cost extra to list an upgraded item in the secondary category?
No. You can add a featured listing or normal listing in up to two different categories. This system was put in place due to the fact that sometimes your item may resemble two different categories created by upillar.comback to top
How can I edit my listing?
Once you have logged in, go to your inventory tab under “my upillar” In this section, you will be able to edit your listing. The second way to edit your listing is to find it. Then once you are viewing your listing, you will see an “Edit listing” button. Just click on that button.back to top
How soon will my listing expire?
You can list your item up 90 days. Once your item is about to expire, we will email you and ask you to either renew the listing, or delete it. If you sell your item, we suggest you log in and delete that item so you don't receive phone calls or emails regarding that item anymore.back to top
Do I need to renew my listing once it is about to expire?
Yes. You will need to renew your listing. You can do this through a link that is sent to your email 10 days before it expires, or you may log into upillar.com and renew the listings in “my upillar”back to top
Can I renew an upgraded listing?
Upgraded listings are only active for 90 days. If you wish to continue advertising that item after 90 days, you can do so, but you will be required to pay the upgraded fee to renew the listing. If you wish to relist the item, but don't want to pay for the upgrades again, you can choose to remove the upgrades and your item will renew without the upgraded status for free.back to top
Can I activate an expired listing so I do not have to recreate it?
Yes. Log into “my upillar”, click on the drop down on your dashboard and choose “inactive” . This will display all your previous listings. At that point, just edit it, and it will become active once you have gone through all the steps again. Remember that the photos may need to be re-uploaded if they are missing due to archiving.back to top
Can I reactivate an upgraded listing once it has been marked as sold or expired?
Yes. But you will have to pay for the upgrades again or choose new upgrades. If you choose no upgrades, your listing will be free and no upgrades will be applied to it.back to top
How do I delete my listing?
You can either delete your listing from your dashboard in “my upillar” or you may go to the listing and click on the link “delete” . Once your listing has been deleted, you will have to edit that listing if you ever choose to repost the listing. All the information will be saved, but if you had upgrades applied to that listing, they will be lost. So, be careful when deleting listings. They can’t be refunded.back to top

How can I post anonymously and still receive responses from interested buyers?
We require you to fill out all your contact information to make sure you are not a fraudulent customer on our website. But, when you create a listing, you will have the ability to choose what content you want displayed to the public. If you choose not to have any contact information, they will contact you via upillar messaging.back to top
Can I add a picture to my listing?
Yes. We allow up to 20 pictures at no cost!back to top
Can I add HTML tags or URL’s to my listings?
We do not allow HTML on our listings.You can place URL's in your listing as long as they complement the listing and are not promoting outside interests unrelated to the item. However, if they link to inappropriate websites, your account will be suspended without question. This is something we take very seriously.back to top
What kinds of listings or content are prohibited?
Offensive material will not be tolerated on upillar.com. Personal ads are not permitted. We reserve the right to delete questionable listings without notice and at any time. In the event of repeated abuse, your account will be permanently deleted and you will be banned from upillar.com.back to top
Is my listing nationwide, or only viewable to the local community?
Your listings are posted nationwide. Please keep in mind that individuals can narrow by zip code, city, state, and many other methods, so your listings may not appear in all search results.back to top
I am not interested in a listing, but would like to comment, may I?
If you are a registered user and are signed in, you may ask the seller a question at any time. If you harass sellers or make derogatory comments, you will be blocked from upillar.com. Please keep the comments positive. Nobody likes to receive negative comments.back to top
I saw this awesome listing months ago and would like to see it again. Is that possible?
Most likely not. If there is a special reason for it, we may help and provide that listing for you.back to top
Do you offer solutions for storefronts?
Yes. Upillar storefronts are now currently available for all users. You have the option of upgrading your existing private user account or just creating a whole new account. The only stipulation for creating a new user account is that a unique username and email address is required for each account created. So if you try to create a storefront account using an email address or username that you have already used for your previously created private user account, then it will not let you continue through the storefront account sign up process.back to top
Are storefront accounts different than private user accounts?
Yes. There are quite a few differences in storefront accounts. (Private users do not have any of these features)- Your storefront account will be posted on a upillar storefronts list, that will be viewable and searchable by all other users.
- All of your listings will have a "see sellers other inventory" link for users to click and see your full inventory.
- You will have the option to upload a storefront banner and logo that will be viewable on all of your listings and on your general storefront profile. (This makes your storefront appear very nice.)
- You will be abel to choose a permalink, which is a custom URL that will allow customers to bookmark your store and share the address for easy access. (Once that is set, you cannot change it without contacting customer support.)
- You can track all your customers.
- All phone calls made to you are recorded and logged. You may also see where they come from and plan advertising accordingly.
- Upillar.com gives you detailed reports for each listing and allows you to see what is most popular among your listings. This helps you choose what is hot and what to sell in the future.

How much do storefronts cost?
As of now, we are offing all of our users the option of using a storefront account for free until August 1st. We want all those that may be interested to get on and try it out. After the free trial expires then the standard storefront cost will be a super low fee of only $10.00 per month. No contracts! You can upgrade your private user account to a store front account or downgrade your storefront account back to a private user account whenever you like. When you upgrade or downgrade your account there will be no need to worry about your listings, they are still going to be there for the public to see. The monthly fee is non-refundable. There is no limit to how many listings you can post as a storefront.back to top
There is only one type of account available on upillar.com, how do I set up a storefront?
Right now you will create a normal account and list all your items for sale. There will be no charge for this even if you are a storefront during this time. Once storefronts become available to the public, you will be able to convert your account over and start paying the small fees if any are associated with them at the time.back to top
I have not received a confirmation email to verify my email address, what should I do?
If your account has not been verified and you try to log in, there will be a link that will allow you to resend your confirmation email. Please check your spam box. Usually it is located in there if it does not show up. We send them out within a few minutes of you signing up. If you still have problems, email our support staff on the contact us page located at the bottom of the website.back to top
How can I retrieve or reset my password? What can I do if I feel like my account has been accessed without my permission?
If your account has been accessed without your permission please Contact Us immediately. We will reset your account and help you prevent this in the future with some tips. I listed my item for sale, but do not see it show up in search results. Is something wrong?
It may take up to 24 hours for listings to appear in search results due to caching. This caching allows our site to operate faster and is reset every 24 hours. So please check back and if you still don’t see it, contact us at (435)652-0827You must also be logged out to do a keyword search for your own items.

What can I do if someone harasses me by posting a prank listing about me?

Can I accept payments on upillar.com? Does upillar.com offer payment solutions that may be integrated into each listing?
